I think I'm ready

Dee came over yesterday and she showed me why I didn't have to stress over packing what I need in my carry-on and backpack. I won't say that she "told me so" but the smirk afterwards spoke volumes.

I only stress because I'm not experienced at leaving my "normal life" for 2 weeks and traveling back and forth across this beautiful country. Don't get me wrong. I can't remember the last time I was this happy and excited. But yeah, definitely out of my norm. I really should have taken before and after pictures of what went into that case, it looked like there was absolutely no way all of that was going into that little suitcase. I'll let you all know when I get to Barstow, Ca. if I find out she hid a bunch of stuff under the bed or in the closet instead of the suitcase when I wasn't looking.

My awesome daughter (I normally call her my Princess, but I don't want anyone reading this to think I am royalty) will come over this evening after work and help me with final preparations (so many pill bottles) and give me a haircut. Gotta look presentable. She will also take care of my two dogs, Roxy and Maggie. I don't know what I would do without her!

Ok, that's all for now. I'm at work and I really need to earn my pay. I plan to upload our first pictures this evening. Not sure where I will put them yet, so stop back by and explore the site. Glad you stopped by.
